CLEVELAND | July 14, 2026 — 40 Seasons Media LLC today announced the launch of 40 Seasons Press, a new independent boutique book publisher dedicated to fiction and nonfiction.
The imprint’s inaugural release will be Her Own Country, a historical fiction novel by award-winning author and 40 Seasons founder James C. Sulecki. Set in 1919 Cleveland, the book follows an Irish immigrant caught between the struggle for Ireland’s independence and America’s labor wars. Her Own Country is scheduled for an e-book release this fall on Amazon, followed by a paperback edition ahead of the holiday season.
“Traditional large book publishers continue to consolidate and become more risk-averse, and as they do, works about locations like Cleveland—places rich with history and untold stories—are increasingly falling off their radar,” Sulecki said. “Our intent with 40 Seasons Press is to give life to select works that might otherwise go unpublished or underpublished.”
While initial acquisitions will focus on themes and topics unique to the Cleveland area, 40 Seasons Press aims to expand its catalog to a national and international scope in the coming years.
